- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a United States-accredited university, or proven equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mechanical building-system design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience designing mechanical systems for commercial buildings, including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, or temperature-control systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a self-driven, adaptable, and team-oriented manner.
- Design mechanical systems for commercial buildings across education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use markets.
- Perform building load calculations, energy simulation and analysis, equipment sizing and selection, steam and hydronic heating design, chilled-water cooling design, and ducted-air distribution design.
- Design plumbing systems, including domestic hot and cold water, sanitary waste and vent, acid waste and vent, and storm-water systems.
- Design domestic water-heating systems and size and select sump and sewage ejector systems.
- Design temperature-control systems, including pneumatic and electronically actuated systems, Direct Digital Controls, system options, and control strategies.
- Work on project teams with architects, contractors, and facility owners from concept through construction.
