  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, or related field
  • Native or near-native proficiency in both English and Spanish
  • Proven experience in translation and language interpretation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and cultural sensitivity
  • Strong written communication skills in both languages
  • Ability to initiate, develop and maintain mutually beneficial client relationships
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical reports or journals
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from internal and external clients
  • Ability to write scopes-of-work, budget estimates, schedules, reports of findings, proposals, general correspondence, and other technical documents
  • Capable of effectively presenting information to top management, clients, public groups and/or boards of directors
  • Clear vision and depth perception
  • Employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with clients at all levels
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in both the written and spoken words of both Spanish & English in the specialized field of Transportation Engineering and shall have the specialized knowledge and experience described below
  • Must have high level of analytical skills

Responsibilities
  • Accurately translate written survey materials from English to Spanish and vice versa, maintaining the tone and meaning of the content
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance in translated materials
  • Interpret written Spanish comments in written English, ensuring accurate representation of participant responses
  • Conduct thorough reviews of translated materials to identify and rectify any linguistic or contextual discrepancies
  • Contribute to the production of high-quality survey materials, enabling seamless data collection from Spanish-speaking participants
