Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
  • Two to three or more years of clinical veterinary nursing experience.
  • Confidence across medical, surgical, and hospital nursing.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Ability to step into unfamiliar clinic environments and adapt quickly.
  • Excellent anaesthetic monitoring skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
  • Willingness to travel between clinics throughout the Brisbane West Region.
Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery and assist in theatre.
  • Monitor anaesthesia and support post-operative recovery.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Collect samples and perform diagnostic testing.
  • Provide hospital and inpatient care.
  • Assist with emergency and urgent care cases when required.
  • Maintain patient records and treatment plans.
  • Provide client communication and education.
  • Support reception and administrative duties when needed.
  • Maintain hygiene, infection control, and clinical standards throughout the clinic.
