Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in live event curation, promotion, marketing, sales, and/or partnerships
  • A discerning palate and a deep network within the local food and beverage community
  • Passion for the arts and eagerness to capitalize on Sofar show opportunities, including building local connections and providing opportunities to chefs and mixologists in the community
  • Strong understanding of the city and its neighborhoods and where people enjoy spending their free time
  • Ability to connect with diverse community-driven organizations, media partners, or local businesses that would add strategic value to growing Sofar's presence in Los Angeles
  • Active engagement in the local cultural scene and ability to build community around it
  • Exceptional time management skills and clear written communication
Responsibilities
  • Lead curation, planning and promotion for music and culinary events in Los Angeles, continuing to grow networks as needed
  • Develop local relationships in Los Angeles to ensure Sofar’s food and music events are genuinely connected to, and representative of the city
  • Source and onboard unique venues that align with Sofar’s brand and mission
  • Own the quality of shows by attending events and working closely with the local Los Angeles team to ensure magical experiences rooted in hospitality
  • Create a vision and collaborate with the local Los Angeles team to build and execute strategies to grow culinary experiences, including the number of monthly shows, neighborhoods, and show theme ideas
  • Promote and sell tickets with self-directed local marketing tactics
  • Create content to promote events, either coordinating with external photographers and videographers or producing your own content
  • Identify and build relationships with local organizations with like-minded audiences to build community, broaden reach, and co-promote experiences
