Requirements
  • Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team.
  • Diploma or degree in Hotel Management.
  • Five years of industry experience in upmarket brands, including a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong operational and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Report to the Head Chef and prepare, present, and display all menu items.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment and equipment.
  • Develop and coach junior chefs and provide learning opportunities and access to culinary experience and knowledge.
  • Work with the Sous Chef on menu development and creation.
  • Share ideas, opinions, and suggestions to improve the work environment and menus.
  • Ensure consistent preparation of food items for à la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and obtain guest feedback.
  • Ensure HACCP procedures are followed and clear records are maintained.
  • Exceed guest expectations in the quality and service of food products.
