Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another Engineering Science field is required.
  • Quality Engineer II candidates must have at least 3 years of engineering experience in a machining or manufacturing setting.
  • Quality Engineer III candidates must have at least 6 years of engineering experience in a machining or manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards is required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is required.
  • The ability to analyze data and ensure data integrity is required.
  • The ability to operate a variety of inspection equipment is required.
  • Statistical expertise with design of experiments and capability studies is required.
  • Experience with Minitab design software is required.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, is required.
  • The ability to consistently achieve short- and long-term business results is required.
  • Clear verbal and written communication, attention to detail, organizational ability, prioritization, and multitasking are required.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality engineering support for manufacturing and project management.
  • Develop inspection requirements, facilitate process failure mode and effects analyses, resolve discrepant material issues, and create and maintain quality documents such as control plans and inspection plans.
  • Analyze data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Act as the quality interface for a production team by responding to customer complaints through failure analysis, corrective and preventive action development, and trend analysis.
  • Conduct audits, close audit findings, create audit finding reports, and determine appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead and participate in intermediate company projects by providing quality recommendations.
  • Support validation activities for processes, equipment, and metrology.
  • Create protocols and analyze data.
  • Support Quality Inspectors to ensure inspection plans comply with relevant customer product requirements.
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO requirements, and medical device requirements.
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
  • Partner with sales and marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets served.

Cretex Medical signs agreement to acquire Atemisa Precision, S.A. in Costa Rica. Cretex Medical, a leading provider of contract medical device manufacturing and engineering services, announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Atemisa Precision, S.A. in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Dedicated to satisfying customer needs, Atemisa provides high quality machining services to the medical and industrial sectors in Costa Rica. The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year, subject to customary closing conditions. Cretex Medical's mission is to make it easier to get their customers' products to patients. By integrating Atemisa's precision machining expertise with Cretex Medical's newly constructed facility in Cartago, Costa Rica, the company will strengthen its local, vertically integrated capabilities, including advanced machining, molding, laser processing, and assembly.
