  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
  • Typically a minimum of seven years of related work experience.
  • ACAS or FCAS designation.
  • Strong knowledge of core insurance-company functions and actuarial and statistical concepts.

Responsibilities
  • Establish relationships with business partners and functional subject-matter experts and provide actuarial guidance as needed.
  • Build relationships with peers, business partners, and leaders to influence a specific segment's strategy through actionable insights and analytics.
  • Provide analyses and insights to assist in determining Healthcare Pricing strategy and create or modify tools and analytics as needed.
  • Monitor profitability, reserving, and claim trends for Healthcare Pricing and share results and recommendations with leaders and underwriting, claims, and pricing business partners.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members and manage projects as needed.
  • Produce technical actuarial analyses and reports and communicate findings to analytical staff and management.
  • Stay current in actuarial expertise and industry trends and developments.
  • Drive process innovation while maintaining clear documentation of methods.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

CNA promotes Claire Louko to SVP, North America Reinsurance. CNA Insurance, a U.S. commercial property and casualty insurance company, has promoted Claire Louko to Senior Vice President, North America Reinsurance. Based in Chicago, Illinois, Louko will be responsible for the teams managing reinsurance services, claims, operations, contracts and the firm's corporate insurance programmes, in addition to her current responsibilities for ceded reinsurance placement. She brings nearly two decades of industry experience, with expertise spanning property and casualty insurance, underwriting, commercial insurance, financial risk and more. Louko has spent the past 12 years at CNA Insurance, most recently serving as Vice President, Head of Ceded Re, North America. CNA FINANCIAL ANNOUNCES FIRST QUARTER 2026 NET INCOME OF $0.78 PER SHARE AND CORE INCOME OF $0.83 PER SHARE * Net income of $211 million versus $274 million in the prior year quarter; core income of $225 million versus $281 million in the prior year quarter. * P&C core income of $248 million versus $311 million, reflects lower underlying underwriting results and unfavorable prior period development partially offset by higher net investment income. * Life & Group core loss of $9 million versus core income of $6 million in the prior year quarter. * Corporate & Other core loss of $14 million versus $36 million in the prior year quarter. * Net investment income of $610 million, reflects an $18 million increase from fixed income securities and other investments to $568 million and a $12 million decrease from limited partnerships and common stock to $42 million. * P&C combined ratio of 102.2%, compared with 98.4% in the prior year quarter, including a 3.6 point impact related to catastrophes compared with 3.8 points in the prior year quarter.
