Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Environmental or Occupational Health and 3+ years experience providing industrial hygiene field support; or 7+ years experience providing industrial hygiene field support
  • Will be required to pass testing for Radiological Worker II and maintain IH equipment qualifications
  • Candidate shall have working knowledge of IH standard concepts, practices, principles, and techniques
  • Candidate shall have operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG’s designated Security Office
  • May be required to drive government vehicles
  • Location is Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina
  • 40-hour workweek schedule will be determined by the assigned facility to accommodate current demand; candidate may be assigned to various shift schedules
  • Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
Responsibilities
  • Performs occupational exposure assessments of conventional work exposures and conducts exposure monitoring strategies as assigned
  • Performs sampling for chemical vapor hazards
  • Assists in study, development, testing and analysis of processes, and procedures relating to chemical vapor monitoring
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Communicate issues and results with employees and management
