Requirements
  • A master's degree in social work, counseling, and/or marriage and family therapy, with the ability to obtain licensure.
  • An understanding of childcare concepts.
  • Skill in providing individual, family, and group therapy and assisting in maintaining children in their family homes and/or community.
  • Ability to effectively relate to clients and parents or custodians across social, economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.
  • Solid decision-making ability related to the safety and well-being of clients, families, the community, and staff.
  • Ability to analyze and react to difficult situations under stress and pressure while following established policies and procedures.
  • Dependability, emotional stability, and physical capability to sit, stand, walk, drive, speak, hear, and physically restrain when necessary.
  • Ability to recognize when assistance and consultation is needed.
  • Clinical expertise in child development, dysfunction, counseling, treatment planning, and diagnosis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel as required by the position and work at various assigned sites with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday with at least one Saturday per month, including at least four evenings per week.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and comply with organizational codes, policies, procedures, and applicable Georgia code.
Responsibilities
  • Provide positive role-modeling to consumers and clients by promoting self-esteem, healthy boundaries, hygiene, appropriate personal appearance, socially acceptable behaviors, and thoughtful decision-making.
  • Screen, evaluate, and triage potential consumers to determine appropriate services and evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide initial clinical impressions and administer biopsychosocial, caregiver strain, CAFAS/PECAFAS, and other validated assessments as needed.
  • Assess trauma history, acuity, strengths, needs, ACE scores, and implications for service planning.
  • Develop and monitor IRRPs and document clients' functioning and progress toward goals.
  • Make referrals addressing consumers' health, well-being, education, mental health, and employment needs.
  • Facilitate or participate in team meetings, RBWO meetings, Child and Family Team Meetings, and related treatment-summary activities.
  • Collaborate with CHRIS 180 programs, other providers, and community entities to coordinate and monitor services.
  • Advocate for clients with other agencies and coordinate services.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy and training for adults, children, and families.
  • Provide trauma-focused, trauma-informed, evidence-based individual treatment for clients receiving trauma services.
  • Manage a clinical caseload based on session frequency.
  • Use preventive intervention techniques when needed to prevent injury to clients or others.
  • Provide outpatient services to consumers with mental health, co-occurring, or substance abuse disorders classified by the DSM-IV/V-TR.
  • Provide CSI services to children and families receiving Medicaid-funded services.
  • Complete timely documentation, detailed case files, billing requirements, PRTF applications, and monthly client summaries.
  • Attend required meetings and supervision and maintain required certifications and training information.
  • Maintain an emotionally and physically safe environment for consumers, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Transport clients to and from designated locations and maintain assigned transportation vehicles.
  • Document mileage, maintain vehicle fuel, and renew the driver's license annually.
