Requirements
  • A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in engineering and project management.
  • Knowledge of Hargrove project execution procedures.
  • Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
  • Knowledge and application of company engineering standards and project controls tools.
  • Ability to lead a team to deliver on commitments.
  • A comprehensive understanding of all engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for a project and support the Project Manager in managing engineering-team performance related to cost, schedule, and client satisfaction.
  • Inform the Project Manager of technical issues, decisions, and problems encountered on the project.
  • Coordinate with the client on technical design issues.
  • Coordinate with the Project Management Team on project execution issues.
  • Support the Project Manager in managing engineering budgets and schedules and facilitate the identification, estimation, and documentation of scope changes.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on engineering status and issues.
  • Plan, schedule, and forecast engineering resources with Project Discipline Leads and Department Resource Leaders.
  • Track discipline man-hours, estimate basis, and TIC estimate quantities to recognize scope changes as the project progresses.
  • Develop or facilitate development of project-specific engineering and design procedures, including obtaining approvals for deviations from client or Hargrove procedures.
  • Coordinate engineering input for documents defining project scope, including Scope and Criteria documents and Engineering Execution Plans supporting the PEP.
  • Ensure timely completion of multidisciplinary deliverables, including Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Area Classification Drawings, post-IFD P&IDs, and General Arrangement Drawings.
  • Lead inter-discipline coordination by resolving design issues among and between disciplines.
  • For 3D modeling projects, review models for timely inter-discipline coordination, cross-discipline loss-prevention issues, clash detection, and clash resolution.
  • Review design deliverables for inter-discipline consistency and adequacy of discipline reviews and approve transmittals before issue.
  • Ensure overall quality control of engineering work.
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer registration is highly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional registration is highly preferred.
