Requirements
  • Five to seven years of experience in AI governance, data governance, risk management, compliance, or analytics.
  • A solid understanding of artificial intelligence and generative artificial intelligence systems, lifecycle management, and governance practices.

Responsibilities
  • Support the rollout and ongoing operationalization of Aviva’s AI Governance Framework across business units and AI use cases.
  • Maintain oversight of the AI and generative AI inventory/register, including use-case capture, risk tiering, documentation completeness, and traceability.
  • Coordinate model and non-model AI assessments with first-line owners and second-line risk partners.
  • Coordinate required Cyber, IT/Architecture and Operational Readiness, Privacy, Legal, and Procurement/Third-Party Risk assessments for AI use cases.
  • Track assessment outcomes, findings, control gaps, and remediation actions, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Prepare consolidated materials for AI governance forums and decision bodies, highlighting risks, dependencies, and approvals.
  • Define, document, and monitor AI control requirements covering transparency, explainability, bias and fairness, data protection, human oversight, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain AI governance scorecards, key performance indicators, and key risk indicators.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of the AI Value Realization Dashboard.
  • Support development of the AI Community through awareness, stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, and adoption of responsible AI practices.
  • Support governance control testing and assurance activities for AI use cases.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, or automate AI governance processes, including intake, assessments, tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Cyber, IT, Privacy, Legal, Procurement, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Data Governance, and Business teams to execute AI governance requirements.
  • Draft executive-ready summaries for senior stakeholders covering governance outcomes, emerging risks, and remediation status.

Limerick set to unite for Alzheimer's Memory Walk. Published 18th Aug 2026, 12:00 BST The walk will form part of the nationwide event, ahead of World Alzheimer's Day on September 21. LIMERICK will host the seventh annual Alzheimer's Memory Walk this September, supported by Aviva. The walk will form part of the nationwide event taking place on Sunday, September 20, ahead of World Alzheimer's Day on September 21. The Limerick event will take place at Mungret Park, with walkers gathering at 11am for a 5km route. A spokesperson for the fundraiser said: "Now in its seventh year, the Alzheimer's Memory Walk is more than just a fundraiser, it's a celebration of connection, compassion, and community. "In 2025, almost 3,000 walkers took part in the walk, raising over €240,000 to help fund vital ASI services including Daycare, Family Carer Training, Social Clubs, Dementia Cafés and the National Helpline." Local champion Seán Donal O'Shea will lead the Limerick Memory Walk, walking in support of all those currently living with dementia. He said: "I'm proud to be again leading our annual Alzheimer's Memory Walk, supported by Aviva, to help fund local dementia services in Limerick. "The event is about community and helping spread awareness by walking together to raise vital funds for care, support, and hope for the days ahead. Aviva profits drop to $517M in first half as earnings fall 42% year-on-year

British insurance company Aviva reported a profit of £407 million for the first half of the year, down from £698 million in the same period last year. Earnings per share fell to £0.121 from £0.215. Revenue rose 22.6% to £13.475 billion from £10.991 billion in the previous year. The company expects operating earnings per share growth in 2026 to be broadly in line with an 11% target rate.
