About the job
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Candidates must have 3–5 years of production maintenance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of machinery, mechanics, plumbing, welding, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems is required.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical drive components, including bearings, bushings, seals, gears, and belt or chain drives, is required.
- Must be able to work safely and rationally at heights, such as on overhead cranes.
- A current valid driver's license is required.
- Must effectively follow repair manuals, blueprints, and diagrams to make appropriate repairs.
- Must respond to and follow oral and written instructions promptly and accurately.
- Must be able to work in a team environment or unaccompanied.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check after an offer of employment.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; the employer confirms eligibility through E-Verify.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and lubricate machines and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production machinery, including documenting preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Install, dismantle, clean, reassemble, and move production machinery.
- Perform fluid mechanic repairs, including hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine repair procedures.
- Apply basic knowledge of industrial electrical principles and controls.
- Maintain building mechanical systems, utilities, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Safely install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, relocate, and remove equipment and facility mechanical systems in accordance with safety and quality standards and industry best practices.
- Overhead crane repair experience is a plus.
- CAD experience is a plus.
