Requirements

  • An established network within the K-pop and K-culture industry.
  • Existing relationships with K-pop artists, management teams, labels, agencies, promoters, entertainment companies, creators, or other relevant industry stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing successful brand partnerships and activations.
  • A deep understanding of K-culture, K-pop, Asian culture, Asian-American culture, and contemporary popular culture.
  • Genuine passion for K-pop and familiarity with fandom culture.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and emerging social platforms.
  • Exceptional cultural awareness and the ability to identify authentic opportunities.
  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to recognize cultural opportunities.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • The ability to balance cultural authenticity, creativity, and business objectives.
  • The ability to take an idea from initial concept through execution.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead SeoulSpice's presence within K-culture, particularly across K-pop, entertainment, music, creators, fandoms, and emerging cultural trends.
  • Identify and develop opportunities with K-pop artists, labels, agencies, entertainment companies, events, creators, fan communities, and other relevant partners.
  • Use industry relationships and knowledge to open doors and create partnership opportunities.
  • Stay connected to K-pop releases, tours, artists, fandoms, entertainment news, fan culture, and emerging trends.
  • Identify artists, properties, communities, and cultural moments that align with the brand.
  • Develop and execute brand activations, events, pop-ups, collaborations, and experiential campaigns.
  • Identify unexpected, authentic, and memorable opportunities for the brand.
  • Translate cultural insights into creative marketing ideas that drive awareness and engagement.
  • Take ideas from initial concept through execution with internal teams and external partners.
  • Identify, pitch, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with brands, artists, creators, musicians, entertainment properties, and cultural organizations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential partners and expand the company's cultural network.
  • Develop creative partnership concepts that are authentic and mutually beneficial.
  • Manage partnership conversations, negotiations, timelines, deliverables, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Monitor TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, fandom communities, music, entertainment news, and emerging platforms.
  • Identify emerging artists, creators, trends, memes, communities, and cultural moments that could become opportunities.
  • Translate cultural trends into actionable marketing opportunities.

Seoulspice Expands Nationally with Invus Funding

Seoulspice, a Korean fast-casual chain, is expanding nationally with new backing from The Invus Group LLC, a $10 billion investment fund. CEO Eric Shin announced the expansion, starting with three new locations in Chicago, which he will oversee this summer. Although the funding amount is undisclosed, Invus is known for backing Cava Group. Seoulspice will not franchise and plans to keep new locations under company ownership. Invus is also seeking more fast-casual restaurants to invest in.
