Requirements
  • A high school degree or equivalent is required.
  • Current pharmacy technician certification and required licensing are required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients.
  • Order, stock, package, compound, and otherwise prepare medications.
  • Maintain a professional presence throughout the hospital.
  • Ensure pharmacy services and activities meet the goals and standards of Cardinal Health and the client or hospital.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a hospital pharmacy technician.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or American Society of Health-System Pharmacists accredited course in compounding sterile preparations.
  • Training and proficiency in age-specific therapies for hospital patients.
