- Perform and report bleeding times according to standard operating procedures.
- Ensure adequate stocking of supplies and report supply needs to phlebotomy leaders.
- Transport specimens from the collection site to the testing site.
- Participate in laboratory programs for quality assurance, competency, mandatory training, and continuing education.
- Obtain patient identification and maintain vein preservation and specimen labeling procedures.
- Transport routine and STAT specimens to the appropriate laboratories.
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients.
- ASCP registration is preferred.
- NCA certification is preferred.

Beth Israel Lahey Health is rolling out Heidi's ambient AI scribing tool to all its physicians following a successful trial across its facilities. The health system, which serves over 6,000 providers across 14 hospitals and 175 primary care practices, prioritises addressing physician burnout, with nearly half of US physicians reporting burnout. During a six-month trial offering Heidi to 1,000 providers, the majority adopted the technology. Survey results showed 89% were satisfied with note quality, 90% felt more present with patients, 74% reduced after-hours work time, and 82% experienced reduced cognitive load during visits. The implementation demonstrates how ambient AI can deliver immediate relief to physicians whilst benefiting patients and the healthcare system. Heidi supports over 2 million consultations weekly globally and has raised $96.6 million from investors including Point72 Private Investments and Blackbird.
