About the job

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional experience.
  • 15 years of full-time education.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in ABAP development on SAP HANA, including performance tuning, pushdown, and efficient SQL access patterns.
  • Proficiency with CDS views and modern data modeling practices, including associations, annotations, and authorization concepts.
  • Experience with AMDP and SQLScript for performance-critical scenarios and controlled code pushdown.
  • Solid software engineering discipline, including clean design, a testing mindset, CI/CD orientation, and production readiness.
  • Ability to build AI-native SAP capabilities involving LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop ABAP solutions optimized for SAP HANA using pushdown principles to minimize data movement and maximize in-database processing.
  • Build efficient data models and access patterns using CDS views, associations, annotations, and authorization concepts.
  • Implement performance-critical logic using AMDP and SQLScript with appropriate governance and testing.
  • Develop modular, testable, and maintainable ABAP code aligned with clean architecture practices and enterprise software development lifecycle processes.
  • Build services and APIs using modern paradigms, including OData and service exposure patterns, with stability, versioning, and contract-first behavior.
  • Apply secure coding standards and authorization checks across data and service layers.
  • Model enterprise business entities using CDS semantics for transactional and analytical consumption.
  • Design reusable data artifacts for downstream user-interface, integration, analytics, and AI retrieval consumers.
  • Build AI-enabled SAP experiences that integrate ABAP services with LLM capabilities, including controlled tool-calling orchestration and retrieval-grounded outputs over governed SAP data and documentation.
  • Implement deterministic fallbacks, prompts and templates, tool schemas, and context assembly strategies to reduce hallucinations and enforce enterprise safety boundaries.
  • Build automated unit, integration, and contract tests for ABAP services and data artifacts, enforcing regression coverage for performance and correctness.
  • Establish AI evaluation harnesses using offline golden datasets, scenario-based tests, and online monitoring to detect drift and regressions.
  • Introduce AI guardrails including authorization-aware context filtering, redaction rules, action confirmations, and audit logs.
  • Instrument services and critical logic with logs, metrics, and traces for production support and root-cause analysis.
  • Design robust enterprise error handling with retries, idempotency, correlation IDs, and safe failure modes.
  • Support incident response with runbooks and structured diagnostics, and continuously harden solutions based on observed failure patterns.
  • Integrate ABAP on HANA services with SAP and non-SAP ecosystems using event-driven patterns, API gateways, and enterprise integration layers.
  • Collaborate with user experience, integration, data, and platform teams to ensure end-to-end solution correctness and performance.
  • Prototype rapidly, demonstrate frequently, and evolve prototypes into scalable production systems with security and compliance built in.
  • Deliver high-performance SAP solutions through HANA-optimized ABAP engineering and disciplined pushdown design.
  • Deliver intelligent SAP workflows through grounded, governed, and measurable agentic AI patterns.
  • Reduce operational risk through automated testing, observability, and robust safety boundaries for AI-enabled actions.
Desired Qualifications
  • OData and service design patterns, API lifecycle management, and contract-first development.
  • Experience integrating SAP backends with cloud runtimes and enterprise integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with performance benchmarking, load testing, and query-plan-driven tuning practices.
  • Knowledge of SAP security, authorizations, and compliance requirements for sensitive enterprise data.

Accenture plans $9.5B shareholder returns and $5B acquisitions as it bets on AI reinvention

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) is betting on enterprise AI as its main growth engine. At its Investor and Analyst Day, the company targeted at least mid-single-digit constant-currency revenue growth in fiscal 2027 and 2028, rising to mid- to high-single-digit growth from fiscal 2029. Chief executive officer Julie Sweet said AI will create new demand that exceeds work lost to automation. The company has grown its AI and data workforce from 40,000 to nearly 110,000. Accenture plans to return $9.5 billion to shareholders in fiscal 2027 and spend about $5 billion on acquisitions. It expects annual operating-margin growth of 10 to 30 basis points. Its network of specialised businesses, now 6% of revenue, could double by fiscal 2029. Fiscal 2026 revenue was $74.2 billion, up 5% in local currency.

It confirmed fiscal 2027 guidance, raised its quarterly dividend to $1.71 per share, and completed a long-running share repurchase program. TM Forum and Accenture launch industry's first AI trust certification for telcos

TM Forum has launched a multi-year Trustworthy AI programme with Accenture to help telecoms deploy autonomous operations with verifiable trust standards. The initiative will deliver the industry's first Trustworthy AI Governance Certification, providing a benchmark for trusted AI deployment. Recent TM Forum research found that whilst 72% of communications service providers believe their AI capabilities are trustworthy, only 14% can verify their claims. The programme aims to transform AI trust from aspiration into measurable operational capability. The certification will help organisations assess governance maturity, workforce readiness, and operational accountability needed to scale AI autonomously. It will operate through TM Forum's AI-Native Collaboration Studios, where telecoms operators, vendors, and partners will contribute real-world use cases to shape the framework.
