Requirements
  • A high school degree, GED, or military training experience, with vocational skills preferred.
  • One to three years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in basic electronics assembly, testing, and/or troubleshooting.
  • Effective oral and written English communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to learn and apply new skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Awareness of lean principles, Six Sigma, and industrial ergonomics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems is preferred.
  • Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required, and lift or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate basic manufacturing equipment according to existing specifications while adhering to safety standards.
  • Handle routine production tasks, escalate issues as necessary, and ensure compliance with quality standards and process specifications.
  • Provide support for basic daily and weekly equipment appraisals and rudimentary maintenance of equipment and tools used in electronic manufacturing processes.
  • Interpret basic technical documentation and execute basic standard operating procedures while complying with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems independently or with occasional assistance, propose feasible solutions, and communicate them to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the production team, communicate technical information, and contribute to operational goals.
  • Execute manufacturing processes and procedures, provide feedback, maintain accurate records, and adhere to protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on existing processes and participating in process improvement efforts.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting by verifying equipment setup and procedure execution and using fault dictionaries, trees, or maps to identify root causes and minimize downtime.
  • Execute basic process tasks under the direction of Production.
  • Assist with operating assigned equipment and support printed circuit board assembly and box-build production.
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance, including inspection, cleaning, and lubrication.
  • Assist with implementing new process technologies and equipment and integrating them into production.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for process efficiency, cost reduction, and yield enhancement.
  • Participate in executing and validating process changes to ensure new and modified processes meet requirements and specifications.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving recurring process and performance issues affecting product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement lean solutions.
  • Collaborate with the process engineering team to refine manufacturing processes for improved efficiency and performance.
  • Resolve basic debug and troubleshooting escalations.
  • Perform basic assembly and testing tasks on the production floor.
  • Set up test stations according to applicable testing procedures to ensure repeatable, reliable outputs.
  • Perform daily maintenance of test equipment.
  • Refine testing protocols to improve test coverage and test-result reliability.
  • Assist the test engineering team with implementing test strategies in production in alignment with product specifications and customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot test equipment within the limits of correct setup and process execution.
  • Collaborate with engineering to enhance test documentation for clarity, accuracy, and standards compliance.
  • Resolve basic debug escalations to root cause.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
