Requirements
  • A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of general-practice experience is preferred.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as venipuncture, injections, suturing, supervised drug calculations, communication with referring veterinarians, and record keeping.
  • Handle animals confidently in front of clients.
  • Provide clear and professional communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Work effectively in a structured, multi-specialist environment and as part of a skilled team.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with specialist dermatology consultations and patient discharges.
  • Perform intradermal allergy testing.
  • Assist with ear flushes, biopsies, laser procedures, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and hearing tests.
  • Support dermatologists during procedures and consultations.
  • Provide professional and compassionate client communication.
  • Contribute to the smooth daily workflow of a busy specialist department.
  • Collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, veterinary behaviour, and imaging teams to provide complete patient care.
Desired Qualifications
