About the job
- M.D. from an accredited medical school.
- Active and unrestricted New York State physician license.
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
- Minimum 3 years of psychiatric clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health settings.
- Experience with Office of Mental Health Article 31 clinics and regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and value-based care models.
- Experience working with serious mental illness populations.
- Strong diagnostic and psychopharmacological treatment expertise.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and quality care.
- Provide medical oversight for psychiatric services across outpatient clinics.
- Supervise and mentor psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning.
- Ensure compliance with Office of Mental Health regulations and clinical standards.
- Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Monitor prescribing practices and support safe medication management.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership on program development and strategic initiatives.
- Support interdisciplinary care coordination and participate in case conferences.
- Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
