About the job

Requirements
  • M.D. from an accredited medical school.
  • Active and unrestricted New York State physician license.
  • Active Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
  • Minimum 3 years of psychiatric clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health settings.
  • Experience with Office of Mental Health Article 31 clinics and regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and value-based care models.
  • Experience working with serious mental illness populations.
  • Strong diagnostic and psychopharmacological treatment expertise.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and quality care.
Responsibilities
  • Provide medical oversight for psychiatric services across outpatient clinics.
  • Supervise and mentor psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Office of Mental Health regulations and clinical standards.
  • Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor prescribing practices and support safe medication management.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership on program development and strategic initiatives.
  • Support interdisciplinary care coordination and participate in case conferences.
Desired Qualifications
  • Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
