Requirements
  • A master's degree in psychology, social work, or another related human services field.
  • LCSW, LPC, LMFT, licensed psychologist, or eligibility for one of these licenses.
  • At least three years of experience working with individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges.
  • Clinical assessment and diagnostic skills using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5).
  • A clear understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality, and personal boundaries.
  • Ability to navigate an electronic medical record and use technology effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic mental health assessments, trauma-informed and evidence-based individual, family, and/or group therapy, and crisis intervention to clients.
  • Provide case management services to clients as needed or assigned.
  • Develop treatment plans, monitor treatment progress, and follow up as clinically indicated.
  • Assist clients with psychological development, social development, and rehabilitation.
  • Coordinate clients' use of other WellPower programs and outside community resources.
  • Coordinate clients' medication and medicinal needs with psychiatrists, nurses, and other medical resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with WellPower standards.
  • Participate in team and department meetings, in-service sessions, and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Perform 27-10 (M-1) mental health hold evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency.
  • Certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
  • Certification as an EMDRIA Consultant.

WellPower opens walk-in clinic for same-day opioid addiction treatment in Denver

WellPower, Colorado's largest community mental health centre, has opened a Medication-Assisted Treatment Walk-In Clinic in Denver to provide immediate, low-barrier care for people experiencing opioid use disorder or withdrawal. The clinic offers same-day support without appointments. The evidence-based model combines peer supporters with lived recovery experience, pharmacists and mental health clinicians. Services include same-day medication for withdrawal symptoms, short-term prescriptions and referrals to ongoing treatment programmes. Located at WellPower's Recovery Centre at 4455 E. 12th Ave., the clinic currently operates Wednesdays from 1:00 to 16:30, with plans to expand hours. The initiative responds to rising overdose deaths in Colorado and Denver. WellPower serves over 22,000 individuals annually across 30 sites and nearly 200 community locations.
