Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or higher-level degree if hired after June 6, 2022.
  • California Certified Nurse Assistant certification if hired after April 10, 2016; alternatively, one complete semester in an accredited associate’s degree in nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, or completion of a Licensed Vocational Nurse program.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment, including a computer, printer, scanner, and telephone.
  • Fine motor skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Perform Nursing Assistant skills under the direction of the clinical director, clinical coordinator, or registered nurse.
  • Obtain vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and pain level.
  • Document and communicate abnormal values and changes to the registered nurse according to policy, including observations of patient condition changes.
  • Perform morning and bedtime hygiene according to standards.
  • Position and ambulate patients according to the care plan; assist the registered nurse with repositioning, ambulating, transporting, and other directed care.
  • Document intake, output, and daily weights; communicate information to the registered nurse and complete documentation accurately according to policy.
  • Assist with patient setup and feedings.
  • Communicate with the registered nurse or appropriate team member before leaving the unit.
  • Assist with equipment storage, retrieval, and procedure-cart restocking as directed.
  • Observe all isolation procedures and regulations.
  • Provide a safe patient environment, remain with patients at risk of falling or self-harm, correctly identify patients using an armband, keep the call bell within reach, and apply restraints as directed.
  • Follow guidelines for change-of-shift reports from the assigned registered nurse.
  • Perform patient rounds at least every hour.
  • Maintain general tidiness of patient rooms.
  • Complete assigned continuing education classes.
  • Perform duties assigned by and under the supervision of the registered nurse.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Additional $100,000 For Los Angeles Wildfire ReliefLAGUNA BEACH, Calif., Jan. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The William, Jeff & Jennifer Gross Family Foundation, the charity founded by renowned investor and philanthropist Bill Gross and his son and daughter, announced that it donated $18 million to 61 non-profits and charities in 2024, including to hurricane relief and recovery efforts in North Carolina and Florida.
