Requirements
  • Ability to use hand tools and follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Ability to examine building layouts, anticipate difficulties, gather materials, and coordinate on-site work for installations and repairs.
  • Ability to inspect and maintain service vehicles, including keeping service records and scheduling repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to inspect equipment for signs of wear and notify customers or the Operations Manager of findings.
  • Ability to determine parts needed for repairs and the required timing.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Ability to provide technical support to customers.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, including some overnight travel.
Responsibilities
  • Service products and equipment on assigned projects while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications.
  • Prepare for on-site installations and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
  • Inspect vehicles for condition and cleanliness.
  • Maintain vehicles by keeping service records, scheduling repairs, and completing repair and maintenance services.
  • Maintain equipment by inspecting it for signs of wear and notifying the customer or Operations Manager of findings.
  • Document each job by completing paperwork and maintaining files, including daily time, progress, duration, parts, materials, labor, subcontractor, and cost data.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact.
  • Determine parts to order for repairs and the required timing.
  • Return unused resources and submit all required paperwork and reports promptly.
  • Stay current on products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
