Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old due to licensure requirements.
  • A valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record meeting the eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier are required for positions requiring driving.
  • Applicants must have no felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
  • Applicants must successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
  • Applicants must favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.
Responsibilities
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and other assigned meetings.
  • Manage scheduled conference-room events by assisting employees with reservations, configuring rooms to the host’s specifications, and maintaining room appearance.
  • Oversee agency vehicle utilization by ensuring required documentation is complete before releasing vehicles for client-related outings, reporting maintenance issues or damage, monitoring vehicle condition and mileage, and verifying that gas cards are returned.
  • Maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of designated areas, including kitchens, restrooms, family visitation rooms, common areas, and administration offices.
  • Assist employees with copy machines, fax machines, and general office tasks.
  • Facilitate efficient and professional handling of incoming calls by maintaining current client and employee rosters, the daily on-duty management roster, and agency phone-extension lists.
  • Train new employees and maintain the voicemail system.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including word processing, copying, faxing, and filing.
  • Sign for and distribute delivered packages, maintain accurate delivery and pickup records, and move packages to the designated closet in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and process outgoing mail, including weighing, coding, sorting, affixing postage, addressing, preparing certified, overnight, and return-receipt mail, and purchasing additional postage by phone.
  • Ensure timely distribution of incoming mail and faxes.
