About the company

CVHCare runs a home health agency for patients recovering from illness or surgery and people managing long-term conditions in California. Its nurses treat wounds and support recovery after hospital discharge, while physical, occupational and speech therapists work on mobility, daily activities and communication. Care takes place in the patient's home, where clinicians assess recovery needs and teach family members how to support treatment and safer everyday routines. The privately owned business serves Northern and Southern California, including the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles basin, through its own clinical care teams. CVHCare was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in San Ramon, California.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Field nurses get administrative backup: CVHCare's Antioch posting assigns medication reconciliation, order tracking and physician signatures to internal teams.
  • Home health newcomers have an entry route: CVHCare's Berkeley/Richmond therapist role accepts candidates without prior home health experience.
  • Licensed therapists have a coordination path: CVHCare's San Ramon coordinator role moves beyond direct care into managing referrals and authorizations.

What critics are saying

  • Weekend availability constrains field schedules: CVHCare's Antioch nursing role requires availability for up to two weekends monthly.
  • Therapist benefits vary by employment status: the Berkeley/Richmond posting lists several schedules with eligibility tied to work status.
  • Chart audits add administrative duties: the rehabilitation coordinator posting includes quality assurance and regulatory compliance alongside patient support.

What makes CVHCare unique

  • Registered nurses lead coordination: CVHCare's case-management model puts a nurse in charge of monitoring each patient's overall care.
  • Complex drug delivery broadens clinical work: CVHCare lists spinal infusions and intravenous heart-support medications among its services.
  • External oversight shapes care: CVHCare holds Joint Commission accreditation alongside federal certification and state licensing.
