Requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of multi-domain unmanned and autonomous weapon systems development and deployment
  • Demonstrated engineering support to the growth and business development process
  • Experience in a senior role leading autonomous, unmanned or naval weapon system programs from initial concept design through transition to full development and test
  • Strong understanding of the 'why' behind Autonomous Platform and Systems design.
  • Experience working on mission critical DOD systems
  • Experience creating cross-functional teams and focusing them around a common vision
  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or Software engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience or relevant systems engineering and growth support
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret clearance
  • Travel 35% to Customer and Test Sites
Responsibilities
  • Lead technical and programmatic design of maritime domain autonomous weapon systems opportunities in the initial stages of shaping and capture, and support the end-to-end strategic growth process
  • Architect and support the execution of Operational Analysis to derive Key System Attributes and build the business case for an Anduril unique design and system architecture.
  • Set up trade analysis to enable the exploration of early conceptual designs while working closely with technical SME’s and strategic growth team to find the right solution to current and future gaps in the DOD capability to ensure the warfighter has the best solution for current and future conflicts.
  • Manage the detailed design of an uncrewed surface vessel (USV) system and subsystems including requirements development, system and sub-system trades and optimization, risk management, etc. to ensure the appropriate consideration of design key performance parameters, schedule, costs and risks in order to shape programmatic opportunities.
  • Own the technical and programmatic success of USV ship and payload strategic growth opportunities, establish the technical and programmatic vision and assemble cross-functional teams of internal and external subject matter experts within the Anduril Divisions, and communicate that vision to them.
  • Coordinate closely with manufacturing to ensure the fabrication of prototype and low-rate production articles are capable of expansion to full rate manufacturing and production.
  • Work with senior leadership to ensure resource plans are adequate for work scope.
