Maintenance Team Manager
Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work is required, with participation in an on-call rotation.
About the job
- A bachelor's degree in building mechanics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including a vocational diploma in refrigeration, industrial electricity, or electromechanics.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience.
- Experience supervising technical or multidisciplinary teams.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with computer tools and maintenance software.
- A valid driver's license for travel between the organization's buildings.
- Availability to work occasionally in the evenings, on weekends, and on public holidays, and to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Supervise, mobilize, and develop maintenance teams and skilled-trade employees.
- Plan, coordinate, and prioritize maintenance activities for buildings and infrastructure, including at Centre Vidéotron and Théâtre du Capitole.
- Ensure completion of preventive, corrective, and regulatory maintenance work.
- Manage requests related to breakdowns, repairs, and facility improvements.
- Coordinate interventions performed by external partners.
- Participate in asset-maintenance, improvement, and infrastructure-modernization projects.
- Monitor purchasing, inventories, equipment, and materials for the Technical Services department.
- Support operations during events and collaborate with internal teams.
- Contribute to managing specialized mechanical systems, such as the ice plant, chillers, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
- Manage technical emergencies and coordinate required interventions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices and processes.
