Requirements
  • A DEC diploma in nursing sciences and a valid professional license are required.
  • Recent and relevant experience in this sector is required.
  • OMÉGA training is required.
  • Training in suicide-risk assessment is required.
  • Familiarity with medical information systems, particularly Epic, is required.
  • Interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are required.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of patient care is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality nursing care to patients in a hospital environment.
  • Assess patients’ medical and emotional needs, particularly those with dementia or requiring hospital care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Use Epic to document care and track patients’ progress.
  • Communicate effectively with families about patients’ health and needs.
  • Participate in case management to ensure continuity of care, including in home-care or assisted-living contexts.
  • Train and supervise auxiliary staff when applicable.
