Arista Networks stock falls 18% from record despite no miss; model sees ~$463 target by 2030

Arista Networks shares fell 18.34% in five sessions, from a record close of $216.74 on October 9, 2026, to $176.98 on October 16. The company reported no miss and cut no guidance. Arista held $13,343.3 million in cash and marketable securities and no debt as of June 30, 2026. Its exposure runs through customers, such as neocloud providers, rather than its balance sheet. The stock rebounded 3.37% to $182.95 on October 19. Its forward price-to-earnings ratio dropped to 38.05x from 43.83x on September 30. The next test is November 3, when Arista reports. The Street expects about $3.6 billion in fourth-quarter revenue.
