Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least five years of field experience is required.
  • Travel is required 100% of the time.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., including nights, weekends, and holidays as customer demands require.
  • Ability to conduct quality inspections for conduit layouts, lighting systems, basic control systems, feeders, and motor feeders.
  • Ability to identify potential quality issues through construction-document review.
  • Ability to analyze startup and commissioning schedules and anticipate equipment installation standards, checklist procedures, and training needs.
  • Ability to complete overall quality inspections for projects of limited scope and size.
  • Ability to perform job-site safety checks and maintain compliance with company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, and customer-specific safety standards.
  • Ability to use effective problem-solving techniques to maintain customer relations.
  • Ability to provide valid statistical information and analyses regarding job-site quality, commissioning, and startup procedures and schedules.
  • Ability to provide guidance to field employees, project supervisors, and management on job-site quality and commissioning matters.
  • Ability to plan, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and effectively influence.
  • Ability to define work, communicate objectives and tasks, delegate tasks, measure and monitor work, coach and motivate direct reports or appropriate individuals, remove barriers, and provide feedback and resources.
  • Ability to assist in data collection for short-circuit arc-flash studies.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background and drug test.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement the Quality Control Plan.
  • Conduct job-site quality audits and on-site coaching.
  • Conduct training to enhance job-site performance and foster a culture of quality.
  • Conduct quality inspections for conduit layouts, lighting systems, basic control systems, feeders, and motor feeders.
  • Identify potential quality issues from construction-document reviews.
  • Analyze startup and commissioning schedules.
  • Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate equipment installation standards, checklist procedures, and training.
  • Complete overall quality inspections for projects of limited scope and size.
  • Lead small crews of two to five electricians when assigned.
  • Perform job-site safety checks and maintain compliance with company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, and customer-specific safety standards.
  • Participate in internal and external cross-functional teams to develop and refine organizational processes related to job-site quality and commissioning.
  • Provide statistical information and analyses to the commissioning foreman regarding job-site quality, commissioning, and startup procedures and schedules.
  • Provide guidance to field employees, project supervisors, and management on job-site quality and commissioning matters.
  • Conduct job-site or on-site coaching and employee development related to audits or novel or crisis work.
  • Perform Project Expectations Reviews with project leadership and provide feedback and recommended corrective actions to project managers, work crews, management leadership, and support functions.
  • Develop relationships with leaders, direct reports, and others to facilitate open dialogue and trust.
  • Define work, communicate vision, objectives, and tasks, delegate tasks, monitor work, coach and motivate direct reports or appropriate individuals, remove barriers, and provide feedback and resources.
  • Assist in data collection for short-circuit arc-flash studies.
  • Participate in the company's hiring referral and mentoring program as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
