About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, implementation, client success, or a consultative role within an enterprise software-as-a-service company.
  • Public-sector experience, such as supporting Housing and Urban Development programs or federal programs including Community Development Block Grants, Emergency Solutions Grants, HOME Investment Partnerships, Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS, Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery, or Department of Energy Home Energy Rebates; alternatively, experience working directly with housing, economic, and community development organizations or Housing Authorities.
  • A track record of running compelling, discovery-led demos and translating technical capabilities into business value for technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience supporting complex requests for proposals or proposal responses and participating in oral presentations.
  • Ability to configure and maintain demo environments and become a subject matter expert on the product and the domains customers work in.
  • Ability to solution within existing product capabilities, meet complex requirements through configuration rather than custom development, calibrate what is shown or committed to the deal, and identify potential custom requirements for feasibility discussion with Product.
  • Candidates must not reside in California, Colorado, or New York.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run custom, discovery-led demos centered on each prospect's specific pain points and the value the software delivers; calibrate depth and scope to the audience and deal, showing full complexity for enterprise pursuits and a right-sized story for core deals.
  • Configure and maintain demo environments across solutions with fresh, realistic data, partnering with Product to keep the latest capabilities showcase-ready and representing enterprise complexity while keeping core demos within appropriate expectations.
  • Maintain a reusable library of demo assets, customer examples, and proofs of concept.
  • Lead and support discovery into prospects' current processes, pain points, compliance requirements, stakeholders, data needs, and desired future state; translate findings into a credible solution approach reflecting actual product capabilities and realistic implementation expectations.
  • Capture solution-mapping and scoping notes so implementation receives an accurate picture when a client signs; the role does not own delivery.
  • Partner on technical sections of complex enterprise requests for proposals, initially supporting enterprise leadership and growing toward owning the technical response; solution through configuration rather than custom development and support written responses and oral presentations.
  • Work with the Proposal team to build and maintain a reusable library of technical capabilities and past responses, and complete recurring technical artifacts such as security questionnaires.
  • Serve as a shared resource across core and enterprise revenue teams, keeping them current on new features and how to position them effectively in live deals.
