A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Two to five or more years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction.
Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, and light-gage steel, and understanding of foundation design.
Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction-level structural drawings is highly preferred.
Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design package is preferred.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team.
Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
Use ASCE, AISC, ACI, and other relevant building codes to produce safe, high-quality, and economical designs.
Attend client meetings.
Coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil engineers, and mechanical engineers.
Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents and construction.
Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Manage construction administration tasks, including shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with construction teams.

Typical base compensation for the Structural Engineer role is between $80,000.00 - $110,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to the base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
