Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field, with 1+ years of laboratory experience preferably in bio-pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong experience with nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) isolation from mammalian cells and tissues, cDNA synthesis, and qRT-PCR is essential.
  • Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and using various delivery technologies (e.g. transfection, nucleofection, etc). Experience with human/mouse PBMCs is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with developing assays using various readout technologies including qRT-PCR, ELISA, and flow cytometry.
  • Experience with various ELN and LIMS systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information in a clear and thorough manner, document results in laboratory notebooks.
Responsibilities
  • Generate and maintain mammalian cell culture lines and perform downstream experiments using novel platform-generated compounds.
  • Perform high-throughput nucleic acid and/or protein isolation from cell and animal tissues using standard and automated systems (e.g. Kingfisher, Qiacube, etc).
  • Develop and validate downstream assays (e.g. qRT-PCR, flow cytometry, ELISA) for key readouts of platform-generated compounds.
  • Collaborate with team to develop experimental plans, document results in an ELN, and make presentations to report findings to team.
  • Work as a key contributor on cross-functional teams including chemistry and in vivo pharmacology.
