Requirements
  • The candidate must have Bachillerato or university training; Veterinary Medicine is highly valued but not mandatory, with Biology, Pharmacy, and Chemistry listed as related training.
  • A valid driving licence is essential.
  • The candidate must have 3–4 years of previous commercial experience.
  • The candidate must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • The candidate must demonstrate customer orientation at the point of sale, results orientation, analytical and numerical ability, communication and argumentation ability, and empathy and interpersonal relationship skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop the business in the specialist channel, including specialist stores and veterinary practices, by achieving sales, distribution, display, promotion, and pricing objectives in line with company strategy.
  • Acquire and develop new customers.
  • Achieve product sales objectives and distribution objectives by brands and varieties.
  • Promote products and train customers and sales teams.
  • Sell products, take orders, and develop and implement commercial plans for assigned-market customers, including veterinary clinics, specialist stores, and breeders.
  • Monitor and communicate competitor activities across market segments.
  • Prepare the monthly sales forecast for customers in the assigned market.
  • Follow up and control agreements established with customers in the assigned market.
  • Keep the customer database for the assigned area up to date.
  • Apply promotional activity and manage points of sale efficiently.
  • Place and maintain point-of-sale materials in excellent condition.
  • Obtain veterinary recommendation of the company’s brands.
  • Identify business opportunities to increase market share at the point of sale.
  • Describe and update the principal needs of customers in the specialist channel, including veterinarians.
  • Inform customers and, when required, deliver specific talks on nutrition, merchandising, consumer topics, and market topics.
  • Attend and represent the company at major veterinary events in the assigned area or another area when required.
