Requirements
  • A higher-level vocational training qualification in Automotive, Vehicle Electromechanics, Maintenance of Self-Propelled Vehicles, or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • User-level proficiency with computer tools is required.
  • At least one year of practical experience in an automotive repair workshop, working with different vehicle types and systems, is required.
  • Experience in vehicle inspection, diagnosis, and maintenance is required.
  • Native or bilingual Spanish proficiency is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical inspections and collect vehicle data to prepare technical homologation reports.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, understand their needs, and route them to the appropriate internal departments.
  • Conduct technical tests and trials in accordance with current regulations and certification standards.
  • Contribute to preparing homologation reports using accurate and verified technical data.
Desired Qualifications
  • Intermediate-high English proficiency (B2 or above) to conduct fluent technical conversations with international customers and understand specialized documentation.

Applus secures €500M for Idiada acquisition

Applus' Extraordinary General Meeting approved a credit of up to €500 million to finance the acquisition of 80% of Idiada Automotive Technology, as reported to the CNMV. The operation involves an intragroup credit between Amber FinCo and Applus. Additionally, a €200 million intragroup credit was approved to access Amber FinCo's revolving credit line for working capital and general corporate purposes.

Applus Secures IDIADA After TÜV Exit

Title: "Applus Bids Alone for Idiada After TÜV Rheinland Withdraws" Content: The German group TÜV Rheinland did not submit an offer for the 80% stake in the company managing the automotive technology center. This leaves Applus free to retain Idiada Automotive Technology, which operates the testing circuit and technology center in Santa Oliva (Tarragona) owned by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
