Requirements

An Associate's degree is required.
ARRT Radiography (R) certification is required within one year of hire.
BLS or CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire.
IEMA certification is required.
Ultrasound Vascular certification is required.

Responsibilities

Maintain supplies in the assigned area.
Obtain patient history and diagnosis to assist the radiologist with interpretation.
Order, acknowledge, and charge for exams.
Perform general radiology studies.
Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, including abdominal, obstetrics, gynecologic, breast, small parts, and vascular procedures.
Perform office duties such as answering the phone, scheduling patients, cleaning exam rooms, and other duties as requested.
Perform phlebotomy as needed.
Prepare documentation for billing and interpretation accurately and promptly in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Prepare patients and equipment for examination.
Send images to PACS in accordance with established procedures.
Use ALARA radiation principles.
Use proper safety precautions as documented in department and hospital policies.

Job Description

Ultrasound Technologists are responsible for the performance of general X-ray procedures in addition to general Ultrasound and Vascular procedures in the clinic environment.

Department: X-Ray Clinic

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours a week required

Location: Tuscola, IL

Required: AS Degree, Ultrasound Vascular, ARRT(R) withing in 1 year of hire, IEMA, BLS

Pay; Based on experience, starting at$33.73 an hour

$10,000 Sign on Bonus
