Requirements
- A high school degree is required.
- Must have an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain any required clearance for facility, vessel, or platform access.
- Must possess current Non-Destructive Testing certifications.
- Must have five or more years performing maintenance, repair, or modification of aircraft or U.S. Navy shipboard mechanical systems.
- Must have five years of concurrent experience supervising maintenance and repair activities in these environments.
- Must have a strong technical background with direct exposure to inspection, verification, and maintenance quality standards.
- Must have extensive experience developing, implementing, and managing quality control programs within a maintenance environment.
- Must be familiar with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620.
- Must be able to identify quality issues, analyze root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including documenting findings, preparing reports, and coaching personnel.
- Must demonstrate the ability to lead quality teams and collaborate with maintenance leadership.
- Must have high attention to detail and maintain objectivity during inspections.
- Must have problem-solving and communication skills and be able to work with personnel at various levels, including senior leadership.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to perform physical work involving repetitive motion, ventilated spaces, heavy lifting, ladders and inclines or declines, climbing, crawling, navigating confined spaces, kneeling, frequent standing, and hot workspaces.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage quality control programs supporting maintenance, repair, and modification activities.
- Lead and mentor maintenance personnel in applying quality standards, inspection criteria, and verification procedures.
- Establish and monitor quality performance expectations across maintenance functions.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and evaluations of maintenance processes, tools, documentation, and completed work packages.
- Validate repairs, component replacements, and system modifications against defined quality standards and workmanship requirements.
- Review maintenance logs, checklists, and technical documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Apply and enforce workmanship standards, including J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620.
- Use current Non-Destructive Testing certifications to perform inspections, identify defects, and verify the integrity of materials and components.
- Ensure maintenance personnel correctly apply required standards in daily technical work.
- Identify quality issues, non-conformances, and trends affecting maintenance performance.
- Lead root-cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Introduce process improvements to enhance accuracy, safety, efficiency, and documentation quality.
- Support the execution and verification of preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are documented correctly and validated through quality checks.
- Collaborate with maintenance supervisors to incorporate quality checkpoints into daily maintenance operations.
- Train and mentor technicians and inspectors on quality requirements, inspection techniques, and workmanship standards.
- Support qualification tracking and competency development for maintenance and quality personnel.
- Promote precision, accountability, and quality awareness.
- Ensure maintenance and inspection actions conform to established safety procedures and operational policies.
- Identify potential hazards related to workmanship, tooling, material condition, or procedural lapses and implement corrective measures.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and mission focus across the team.
- Perform other duties related to FWG Solutions' business functions as assigned.

- Technical training in mechanical systems, quality assurance, inspection methods, or related maintenance disciplines is preferred.
