  • At least 1 year of medical billing experience is required.

  • Comfort working with insurance portals and claims is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform insurance follow-up on aging claims.
  • Review and work accounts receivable to prevent delays.
  • Access and navigate insurance portals for claim status updates.
  • Contact insurance carriers to resolve denials, delays, and underpayments.
  • Submit corrected claims or additional documentation as needed.
  • Document account activity accurately and thoroughly.
  • Identify trends in denials and report issues proactively.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ambulance billing experience is a plus.
  • Ambulance or emergency medical services (EMS) billing experience is preferred.
  • Medical billing or coding certification is preferred.
