Requirements
  • Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative-taking with minimal supervision.
  • Experience and knowledge in United States military logistics operations afloat and ashore, specifically as a Logistics Specialist rating while in the military; 15 years is required for the Senior position, 5 years for the Mid-level position, and 3 years for the Junior position.
  • An associate degree in logistics or a business discipline is required.
  • Experience with financial management in the Navy.
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in stock control functions, NERP, ASD operations, NALCOMIS, AIS, NAVSUP One Touch, FIMARS, and NAVAIR processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of Navy Working Capital Fund policies and concepts.
  • Experience with the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness program.
  • Experience with automated supply and maintenance management, supply system query programs, shipment channels, and standard supply processes.
  • Proficiency with the Navy R-Supply system, GCPC procedures, OPTAR management, and NERP.
  • Ability to obtain the required security clearance for the position.
  • United States citizenship is required.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, type and read from a computer screen, bend, reach, kneel, walk moderate to long distances when required, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Provide services in connection with Navy logistics operations, financial management, and inventory management.
  • Provide aviation supply and logistics management support for ashore activities.
  • Provide supply support for assigned organizational Naval Aviation Support Detachments.
  • Provide direct supply support for maintenance activities involving maintenance and materials.
  • Support change-management strategies, functional areas, and infrastructure for demand-planning and supply initiatives.
  • Perform supply management and product inventory checks for quality and quantity issues; return unacceptable materials to vendors for replacement or refunds; and provide warranty support and extended service plans.
  • Provide inventory-management expertise and current stock-level information to government teams and customers to facilitate accuracy, availability, and readiness.
  • Conduct inventories, validity management, record keeping, and parts tracking.
  • Provide services for stock-control operations, financial management, and GCPC policies and procedures.
  • Maintain working knowledge of CASREP and Naval aviation logistics systems.
  • Support Aircraft Material Condition Reports for Fleet Squadrons.
  • Improve readiness in support of N41 and tasks set forth by the Commodore.
  • Directly support Supply Officers and Supply Chain of Commands in day-to-day taskings and operations.
