  • 8+ years of experience in software development, and strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
  • 5+ years of experience testing, developing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience designing reliable, fault-tolerant, and high performance distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience building components of service oriented architecture.
  • Hand-on experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience working with AWS technologies.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • You will help drive technical/architectural evolution of the query area.
  • You will contribute to all the phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • You will represent the team in various cross functional projects and initiatives.
  • You will introduce technical best practices, new design patterns and new software tools/platforms to the team.
  • You will directly contribute to both writing the code for new components and effectively delegating implementation work as needed.
  • You will be responsible for mentoring engineers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building and maintaining big data pipelines and a sound understanding of big-data constructs and technologies.
  • Experience with queuing fundamentals and technologies.
  • Experience building API-gateways and developing service APIs using REST/GRPC/GraphQL technologies.
  • Experience working with database internals, specifically query planner and optimizers.
