Requirements
  • A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or Doctor of Medicine degree from a COCA-approved school of osteopathic medicine or a medical school accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation or the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, respectively.
  • Completion of an AOA- or ACGME-approved residency or equivalent board certification in Neuromusculoskeletal Manual Medicine, Special Proficiency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Family Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Orthopedic Surgery, or another field deemed appropriate by the Department Chairperson.
  • A hospital appointment, or a pending application, for active medical staff privileges.
  • Participation in medical insurance plans.
  • Documented interest or relevant experience in undergraduate or graduate medical education.
  • Demonstrated research or scholarly activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and its activities.
  • Provide pre-clinical and clinical teaching.
  • Provide patient care in the Academic Health Center.
  • Perform research and scholarly activities as required or requested by the Department Chairperson or the institution.
  • Participate in college service, including departmental and school-wide meetings and committee work.

  • A record of up-to-date publications in professional journals.
