  • Experience owning a revenue retention metric such as gross revenue retention, net revenue retention, or renewals, with examples of saved and expanded accounts.
  • Experience with usage-based or consumption pricing and communicating with customers about billing increases.
  • Experience building customer success systems from scratch, such as health scores, business reviews, and playbooks, and scaling them as the account portfolio grows.

  • Establish a review cadence for top-tier accounts and ensure each has multiple customer-side contacts.
  • Identify churn risk signals, including usage drops, champion departures, unexpected bills, and quiet alerts.
  • Create and run retention plays for risk signals, defining outreach ownership, offers, and escalation timing.
  • Conduct post-mortems for meaningful churns and downgrades, and relay findings to product, pricing, and onboarding teams.
  • Run win-back campaigns for lost accounts.
  • Convert monthly usage-based customers to annual commitments and own related customer conversations and commercial terms.

  • Personally manage top accounts and build customer success playbooks by executing them directly.
  • Develop scalable customer success systems, account tiers, health scores, and playbooks for future customer success team members.
  • Build and lead the customer success team as the function scales.
Desired Qualifications
  • A background in engineering and the ability to understand technical terminology.
  • Experience setting up a customer success platform or building health scoring from raw data.
