Requirements
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to promote quality best practices and achieve objectives through collaboration.

  • Knowledge and experience of Quality Management Systems, including FDA, Medical Device Regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practice/Quality System Regulation requirements.
  • Applied knowledge of statistical quality tools, including Statistical Process Control and acceptance sampling.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and analyze data to support quality improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Two years of contact lens or process knowledge in quality assurance and/or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodology.
  • Current knowledge of regulatory and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, specifically FDA and Medical Device Regulation processes.
  • Educated to degree level and/or relevant experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Current driving license.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in project teams developing and introducing new products and processes.
  • Work with project teams to ensure they meet Quality Management System requirements.
  • Participate in planning and preparing projects requiring process validation activities.
  • Work with UKM production and project engineers and support departments, such as facilities, to prepare validation plans, protocols, and reports.
  • Support training on the CooperVision validation process.
  • Assist production and project engineers and support departments in evaluating process risks using a risk-based Failure Modes and Effects Analysis approach.
  • Support training on the CooperVision Risk Management/Failure Modes and Effects Analysis process.
  • Participate in planning and preparing Engineering Change Orders within UKM as a designated change assessor.
  • Support training on the CooperVision Engineering Change Order and change management process.
  • Analyze production-line data and liaise with production and project engineers and support departments to provide solutions to quality-related issues.
  • Lead project groups using a structured problem-solving approach to improve product and process quality.
  • Monitor processes and report on trends.
  • Work with the wider quality team to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including FDA and Medical Device Regulations, and maintain business units in an audit-ready state.
  • Support Corrective and Preventive Action and Nonconformance Report teams in investigating and determining root cause and evaluating whether preventive actions have been implemented.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Quality Assurance management.
