Requirements
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Product Design
  • 4+ years experience managing Designers
  • A very high craft bar, with a portfolio to prove it
  • Experience going deep on multiple complex product areas at once
  • The ability to give design feedback even when you do not have deep product knowledge
  • High energy around shaping and evolving design and product development culture
  • Examples of taking accountability for all the products and design work you oversee
  • A history of partnering successfully with associated practices, including User Research, UX Writing, Brand Design, and Design Systems
  • Experience establishing a vision and strategy that help to shape the future of the business
  • The ability to communicate design's potential impact on business outcomes
  • Deep partnership with Research to identify UX opportunities
  • Mastery in solving unstructured problems that have many dependencies
  • The ability to define and communicate clear expectations for excellence
  • Preferably, experience with multi-product, B2B SaaS applications
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Owning the design strategy for the team responsible for Lattice’s entire Talent suite
  • Helping to evolve the Product Design team, its culture, and its operations
  • Supporting, coaching, and helping grow the team’s members into the next generation of design leadership
  • Partnering with Research, Data Science, Engineering, and Customer Experience to establish a multi-year vision and strategy
  • Setting new levels of excellence for craft and execution
  • Partnering with leadership across the organization to ensure development on common primitives with high degrees of product interoperability
  • Shaping and evolving design and product development culture
  • Engaging deeply and collaborating with your team and partners to find resolution and communicate effectively throughout
  • Communicating design's potential impact on business outcomes
  • Working cross-functionally to influence strategy at the product and platform level
  • Defining and communicating clear expectations for excellence
