Life Sciences Subject Matter Expert

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Subject Matter Expert, Life Sciences, to join our dedicated team at our offices in Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad.

Position Responsibilities

• Have global exposure and keep abreast of new trends and future advancements in their field of expertise to bring best practices into project execution for HP API Biotechnology.
• Primarily operate in the India market with the flexibility to extend support to APAC, EMEA, and US regions as required.
• Be connected with IPS global SMEs as needed and as a community of practice.
• Lead the team in conceptualizing, front-end engineering, and detailed engineering while providing various options and value addition in process engineering to enhance project outcomes.
• Establish contact with potential clients and obtain the client's history to develop a client profile.
• Engage as Subject Matter Experts to enhance IPS brand and client engagement, developing client and sub-contractor relations, and promoting IPS brand awareness.
• Participate in events to promote BD initiatives by seeking out new projects with existing or new clients.
• Contribute to the preparation and delivery of strategic sales presentations and proposals for the Life Sciences region.
• Coordinate with project management teams and discipline directors to determine the scope, complexity, and requirements of projects.
• Define an appropriate, cost-effective workflow process and level of design detail to achieve project goals.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, consistency, and completeness of work in alignment with process architectural and process design principles, and compliance with established IPS standards, procedures, codes, and ordinances.
• Regularly review productivity and quality reports to ensure optimal performance.
• Facilitate master planning, feasibility studies, and conceptual design for assigned projects.
• Define design philosophies and facility design parameters for special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 20+ years of Process Design experience within the Pharmaceutical industry in HPAPI or Biotechnology.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College, in Engineering or a relevant science; a Master's/Ph.D. is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in office software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• GMP design experience along with regulatory requirements of various international bodies.
• General knowledge of system design and applicable codes in process engineering.
• Active participation in industry organizations and related initiatives is strongly preferred (for example: speaking engagements, presenting at industry events and conferences, etc.)
• Proven experience interacting and communicating directly with clients and leading conceptual design efforts.
• Has a demonstrated ability to manage projects, problem-solve, communicate effectively with all key personnel, time manage, and the ability to work on more than one project at a time.
