Who You Are
As a Document Control Manager on the Quality team, you will lead the design and build of Sila’s document control strategy. You will work together to continuously improve document control strategies and standards. You are someone who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities, is self-motivated, and can work autonomously with minimal guidance. You are comfortable with ambiguity and eager to create structure. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are able to collaboratively solve problems and set others up for success.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Define and build Sila’s document control strategy
- Define document libraries, templates, and workflows
- Be responsible for document compliance with industry requirements
- Establish reporting metrics and communicate system health to collaborators
- Identify and drive improvements to Sila’s document control system
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a document management system in an ISO or GMP environment
- Principles: Solid understanding of document control principles, workflows, and document templating standard methodologies
- Software: Strong experience working with document management software packages; experience with Google suite preferred
- Continuous Improvement Projects: Highly effective working with cross-functional teams to identify and drive continuous improvement projects
- Leadership & Autonomy: Can effectively manage multiple responsibilities, is self-motivated and can work autonomously with minimal guidance; comfortable with ambiguity and eager to build structure
- Teamwork, Growth, & Communication: Able to collaboratively solve problems and set others up for success
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time
- Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location

The starting base pay for this role is between $128,000 and $161,750 at the time of posting. The actual base pay within these ranges depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future
