We’re looking for a Senior Architect to join our GHD Design team in our Canberra Studio.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Establishing project delivery strategies and developing the actual project’s plan, QA plan, project resourcing and establishing working briefs and budget
• Work with other business group connections to develop client relationships and secure Architectural and Interior Design-related projects in the ACT and Southern NSW market
• Assist in submitting registrations of interest and proposals
• Assist the Business Group Leader to achieve financial targets with respect to new work, invoicing and chargeable time.
• Build effective relationships with other business groups to develop innovative solutions to our clients requirements
• Directing projects with supervision from a Technical Director of Architecture, liaising with Clients and mentoring team members on the go
• Collaboratively designing and documenting projects across different typologies
• Direct technical performance on projects, carrying out regular reviews and adherence to the quality plan and taking corrective actions if needed
• Participating in local, national and global project design reviews
• Active client engagement and business development activities

What you will bring to the team:

• Registered architect in Australian states and territories (ACT is preferable) is essential
• Strong leadership skills that foster team development and encourage a collaborative studio environment
• Minimum of 5-6+ years working in architectural firms delivering commercial projects as a project architect
• Architectural design and documentation skills for commercial project delivery
• Excellent verbal and graphic presentation skills
• Sound working knowledge and understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
• Sound Specification & Contract writing skills related to the architectural practice
• Proficient in the use and application of AutoCAD and Revit
• Understanding of Microsoft Project, Abode Indesign, Photoshop
• Strong interest in client interface and business development activities
