Requirements
- Advanced MRI certification is required.
- The technologist must be certified in MRI and able to work independently.
- The technologist must be able to cover responsibilities associated with on-call imaging within six weeks of hire.
- Employees cross-trained in more than one diagnostic imaging modality must maintain adequate competency and complete required documentation, including annual certification renewals, for each modality.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform MRI imaging procedures with minimum supervision under the administrative direction of the Director or Operations Supervisor and the clinical direction of the Radiologist or Team Leader.
- Complete on-the-job training under the supervision of a radiologist.
- Remain flexible to cross-train in other diagnostic imaging modalities based on departmental staffing needs.
- Perform all aspects of the job descriptions for each diagnostic imaging modality in which the employee is cross-trained.
