Requirements
  • Three years of mechanic experience.
  • A clean Department of Motor Vehicles record.
  • The ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
  • A clean and professional appearance and attitude while at work, representing or traveling for the company.
  • The ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
  • The ability to work in extreme outdoor environments and in various physical positions for extended periods during 10- to 12-hour workdays.
  • The ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment and safely lift 50 pounds without assistance throughout the workday.
  • Your own tools, including basic hand tools required for minor and major repairs.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and verify vehicle concerns, identify additional repairs and services, ensure repairs and services are completed timely, test drive vehicles, and stay current on ASE, factory, diagnostic-tool, and safety training.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair SUVs, vans, trucks, trailers, and other fleet and customer assets.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic vehicle communication systems and data links, gas and diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension, brake systems, steering, and related systems.
  • Track maintenance and completed work through phone, email, text, or hard-copy paperwork, and accurately communicate diagnoses to supervisors and customers using the 3 Cs.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, battery checks, chassis lubrication, brake service, and tire service.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using engine diagnostic equipment, computerized test equipment, and calibration devices.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to verify performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Keep the shop clean and clean vehicles as needed.
  • Estimate the time needed to complete repairs.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Maintain daily upkeep of the work area and company equipment.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork daily.
