- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Ability to effectively resolve technical design problems with little coaching is required.
- Strong Microsoft Office experience is required.
- Familiarity with SKM electrical modeling software, Smart Plant Instrumentation (InTools), and AutoCAD is required.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future is required.
- Design and lay out low- and medium-power distribution systems.
- Perform substation design, short-circuit analysis, and arc-flash studies.
- Perform lighting design, grounding design, and lightning-protection design.
- Design electrical heat trace systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Apply medium- to low-voltage transformers.
- Apply uninterruptible power systems.
- Design conduit, cable tray, and underground duct banks.
- Perform utility interface design.
- Perform electrical calculations, including short circuit, load flow, arc flash, motor starting, harmonic, device coordination, and voltage drop calculations.
- Develop P&IDs.
- Select and specify instruments, and size control valves and primary elements.
- Develop instrument loop diagrams, location plans, and installation details.
- Develop interconnection and wiring diagrams.
- Develop system architectures.
- Specify control system hardware.
- Develop sequences of operation and functional description documents.
- Develop cause-and-effect diagrams.
