Requirements
- Relevant systems administration and cyber-compliance experience; the posting does not specify a minimum number of years or education.

- Must comply with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation and Department of Defense security requirements.
- Must meet contractor identification, privacy, and operational security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Administer civil engineering servers, workstations, user accounts and permissions, and specialized applications; maintain NexGen IT, AutoCAD, BUILDER, and vendor applications.
- Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot operational software applications used for civil engineering operations and facility control monitoring.
- Apply operating-system patches, software updates, and antivirus definitions to civil engineering systems.
- Create, configure, and disable user accounts and manage role-based access permissions in Active Directory and civil engineering software applications.
- Perform weekly data backups of civil engineering servers and specialized application databases, and periodically verify restoration capability.
- Diagnose and resolve software- and switch-level network connectivity issues for managed systems.
- Perform hands-on System Security Administrator duties under the direction of the Government Information Systems Security Manager.
- Apply Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guides to servers, workstations, and network devices.
- Execute automated vulnerability scans, including ACAS and Nessus scans, and perform technical remediation.
- Review system and security audit logs weekly.
- Generate technical artifacts required to maintain the system's Authority to Operate.
- Produce evidence supporting the Authority to Operate; Government Information Systems Security Manager retains oversight.
